After an 11 hour flight from South Korea and a one hour stop over in Amsterdam I boarded my connecting flight to Manchester on 23rd December 2009. As we approached Manchester we were informed by the captain that the airport was closed due to snow and we were turning back to Amsterdam. On arrival - around 11pm - we were told that accommodation had been arranged for the night and alternative flights would be arranged for the following day.
