Whether the non-member rate is less than what most spas charge is not the point. The point is that when you call Massage Envy they tell you you'll be charged one rate. It is only after you come out of your massage that they explain to you how their membership-based service really works. In the end, I paid what is probably a fair price for a one hour massage, but I am still extremely annoyed because the only reason I schedule an appointment with them was because of the rate I was given.
