A $39 late fee is excessive. Period. Having seen this on my bill, I became livid. As the person who writes the bills, I am on top of due dates. However, that doesn't necessarily mean the check gets in the mail. Regardless, four days late. As a customer who has historically paid his bills on time, and much more than the minimum, I thought I was a good customer. Doesn't matter.
