On Jan. 4, my computer froze with only a pop-up boxes saying that my PC contained many viruses and infections, malicious programs, adwares, etc. I could not close out of one pop-up box without another one popping up. I had to shut down the PC several times. When I logged on, the pop-up boxes blocked me from trying to "restore" the computer.
