A department manager began systematically stripping the immigrant employees in her department of their hours, then gave them to her "Canadian" employees. When on of the immigrant employees reported this to the union and received a judgment in her favor, the department manager (assisted by the store manager) began a systematic program of finding fault with the immigrant employee in order to have grounds to dismiss her.
