I recently were on a business trip to San Jose CA and I rented car from AVis at the airport. I rented it for two days. Upon returning the rental car, I was shocked that the guy who checked the car said that there is a scratch on the bumper ( at the lower portion) so I am liable for it. To start with, it was an old car which was not worth the price but I was in a hurry for a meeting, so I did not make any fuss.
