I had been talked into signing one of these fixed rate contracts for hydro and Gas in the summer of 2008 by a Direct Energy rep that came to my door. He said my rates would increase unless I signed a contract. The rep misrepresented about everything that came out of his filthy mouth. 1 year later I am paying double what was before.
