Citibank also hiked up the interest rates on my Citibank Mastercard to 29.99%! When I called them and asked them to lower their ridiculous interest rate, they informed me that there was "nothing they could do about it." The payments were so high, I took a loan out from my credit union, double-checked the balance on the card, and paid off my Citibank Mastercard in full.
