I too have had numerous negative experiences with Vericrest Financial FKA The CIT Group Mortgage/Financial Services. They show little to no curtesy by phone, they constantly add false late fees to my account, I always pay on time. I also applied for a loan modification in fall 2009. When I made the initial call, I asked if they were part of the "Making Homes Affordable" government program and the female individual stated "we have our own program and it's better."
