I took my daughter and newborn granddaughter to the Lynnwood, WA Babies R Us recently to treat them both to a little shopping spree. When I arrived, it was as though we were unwelcome terrorists: customers not only glared at us as though we were criminals (and we dress nicely, are clean and are quiet), some of them audibly mocked us. If that was not a shock enough, after feeling rather unwelcome, we proceeded to checkout and the clerk who served us was detached, scornful and dismissive.
