All comparable softeners are basically the same from one company to another with the exception of the control head. Quality and value is about the same. To give you an idea of how much over priced a rainsoft conditioner is, you could buy a contr0l head of equal value from some other company like Fleck for instance and install it in place of a Rainsoft head on your Rainsoft system and you would have a softener that would perform as well as if not better than your softener with a Rainsoft head!
