I purchased a $14 pair of dog nail trimmers with my debit card. I went back four days later to return the unopened item. According to the terms and conditions regarding their return policy printed on the back of the receipt, I should have been given cash for my return. I was told by the manager that they could not put the refund back on my card because their registers were not encrypted and anyone could hack in and get my account information.
