A payment I mailed in to Wachovia Dealer services in August 2008, clearly stated to be applied to principal. The payment was not applied to principal. Instead, it was split into a monthly payment for October, and the remainder applied to principal. October's billing statement, stated that the next bill was not due until November. My next payment was made 11/14 and almost all of the payment was applied to interest. Their reasoning was that no payment had been mad in October.
