I purchased a new Nissan Maxima in 2007 and two years later with 95, 000 Kilometers the air compressor needed to be replaced at a cost of nearly $2000 including the part, labor and taxes. The warranty expired at 60, 000 and the company refused to cover it even though it is a part that should not break down. Although the Maxima is a nice vehicle I would not recommend buying one and only buy a Nissan if you are willing to spend money on an extended warranty.
