This sofa is only 6 months old. We have had problems from the begining. What a piece of cheap furniture? We bought a sofa in November 2009 from Rooms to Go. Within a week, a repairman was out fixing the thing. He put an additional leg on the sofa and refilled the cushions. We told him that it made noices when someone sat. He told us that It happens and It should stop in time. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, illness, travel, then, we were able to call, again.
