I am in the process of refinancing a mortgage I have with Wells Fargo with another bank. In order to do this, I need a payoff letter from Wells Fargo, showing the proper amount of principal and interest due them in order to close on the new loan. I found out last week that Wells Fargo mis-applied a mortgage payment I made for the previous month showing that I owe them thousands of dollars more than I actually do.
