In May of last year I received a mailing from a company called First Rate Capital Corp. Melville NY, which I answered. We refinanced our home for $380.000, paid off an existing mortgage, credit cards, and cleared the way for our son to finish his last two years of collage. At the closing, several things happened, one the title search company collected $4400 to pay for the last half of our 2009 property taxes, and there was $2500 placed in an escrow account to help pay for the first half of the 2010 property taxes.
