We recently took our 2007 Toyota Matrix which has a little over 28, 000 miles in for service because the check engine warming light came on last week. Unfortunately our three year warranty just expired 3 months ago, go figure! We were told the Charcoal Canister Assembly needs to be replaced. Although they did not tell my wife why the canister was contaminated and needed to be replace, he did suggest we can live with it as is and the car would continue to run as normal.
