I own a 2006 Chevy Equinox Lt. It has now started to give me problems because I can start it and shut it off and it doesn't want to start and it starts hard. I took it to the garage and they put it on the machine and the part inside the fuel pump is not letting gas stay and then it doesn't want to start. Now they have told me that it will cost me between $600 and $900 hundred dollars just for the fuel pump and then another $500 to $900 hundred dollars to install because a number of parts have to be removed to get to it.
