How long does it take to get hired at walmart I have applied numerous times on line often by changing my password to reapply. I had 3 excellent years eperience in the retail field working at a Sears store and feel well qualified. I am over 55 and need a job to pay for bills, rent, food, but when I go into wal mart I often see most of the cashier jobs are given to young kids who probably don't need the money as much as I do.
