Charter Communications is a nightmare with billing. I was a charter customer for over an year from Aug 07 - Oct 08 in Madison, WI. I requested to cancel my connection (cable & internet) as of Oct 08, and got a verbal confirmation from the service rep, I also asked for a confirmation no/mail which was denied. I wasn't able to return the cable modem and the adaptor for an year more (moved out of WI and Charter doesnt have offices where I live).
