I purchased a bike from Bicycle Works and was not relayed their return policy in person. No signs were posted anywhere either. The policy on their receipt states that "All refunds must be accompanied by receipt". I was only allowed 5 min parking lot ride but I thought it was a good bike (I had a good talk with a trusted salesperson at another store that didnt have what I wanted in stock).
