Three years ago we had a 3 ton air conditioning unit installed by a licensed contractor. In may of this year the computer control board failed and was replaced. The electric motor in the unit failed and was replaced. Now, in August with temperatures rated at 108 degrees, the compressor motor has failed. The contractor was called again to replace and admitted that these units had caused problems and we no longer being installed by him or the person that bought his company.
