I bought an Xbox 360 console a few years back, and after 3 months it started switching off and flashing 4 red lights over and over again. Strangely, it would re-boot itself and be fine, (apart from game saves which would keep corrupting) until last summer when it finnally refused to work at all. I was playing a game and the machine finally went and switched off for the 20th time.
