I am currently in the middle of obtaining a home mortgage through Wells Fargo. I had signed and lockedthe mortgage rate on June 28th and was told that the closing date should be on or before July 15th. Today is August 23rd and I have not yet closed on the house. My rate expired on August 13 and was told that I had to extend the rate. I refused to do it and requested to for a new loan to be processed and was told that I have to wait 100 days before applying for a new loan.
