I had a Nissan Maurano 06, that had the ignition key get stuck inside and the lock was broken and would not release the Key. Contacted Nissan Global to get assistance in maybe at least providing the part while i would pay for the install. It was the worst experience dealing with this golliath of a Corporation, and not backing up their bad product. Who ever heard of a Key ignition going bad. That should last the lifetime of the car.
