My 11-year-old son lost his permanent front tooth 3 years ago, so last year, when we arrived to the Killeen/Temple area, we paid $3000 to Carus and got braces to maintain that space for a future permanent artificial tooth. A year later, the braces did its job so it was removed by Carus and they made a retainer with an artificial tooth on it (to mainain the space) for my son to use.
