I am a young woman who just recently lost my younger brother who was covered under my funeral policy. When I went in to the Johannesburg Metropolitan branch to claim for the funeral, I was told that they will not pay out because my brother is covered as my child which he isn't. This was never explained to me when taking out the policy (which was done telephonically).
