Today I took my starter that I purchased from Advance Auto about 4 to 5 yaers ago had my receipt but the code# and information was faded. They looked up my phone# and name but my name and phone# showed up 3 times with zeros beside each number. The manager told me that he could not honor the warrenty. He also stated that the system sometimes delete customers informations thats why they tell customers to copy their receipt on printer paper.
