Back in 2009 we defaulted due to loss of income. We called Homeq to try to resolve this just before the trustee sale. After giving them $10, 000.00, we were able to do forbearance agreement. It was very difficult paying over $3, 000 per month by a certain date. I asked on several occasions if we could do a loan modification.
