I signed up for internet service & direct tv. However at&t had an inability to hook my service even while everyone on my street has the internet service. So I called to state that I wanted to cancel my app. The person on the line said they were at&t/direct tv and not to worry about a thing that as of my call the account has been canceled. So I was going to use a local provider but direct tv insisted I would be liable for a two year contract.
