Genetically engineered seeds have the potential for creating a monopoly on food sources. Soybeans are now almost exclusively controlled by Monsanto. The creation of a seed that distructs after one season has the potential to create famine and food shorages or worse the extinction of our seed for future food sources. Many feel that Monsanto has overstepped the limits of ethical behaviour.
