On November 14, 2010, Delta Airlines denied boarding to parents and their 3 year old daughter, despite having been advised that the child needed to be near LeBonheur Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee; that the couple were delayed due to overbooking on their connecting flight; and the couple arrived at the gate 11 minutes prior to departure. The customer service agent then denied the availability of flights to Memphis, and told the parents to "find a doctor in Detroit". They issued vouchers for an overnight stay.
