Be aware of banks - who have little real financial expertise ( or their salesmen would be working for the genuine investment advisors) -but particularly HSBC Jersey who specialise in getting referrals from other HSBC banks and give them "wealth management" advice A cold call leads to a high pressure promotion usually for one product with a high commission rate.
