I purchased a 2004 gmc Siera HD 2500 in 2005 (new with only a few miles on it as it had been sitting on the sale lot for almost a year). I purchased the extended warranty from the dealership and I have even purchased a additional coverage from Universal underwriters service corporation- p o box 7922 -Shawnee Mission, KS 66207 1-888-835-5063( it is for 75, 000 miles or 5-24-2011).
