My husband wrote a check to me, on another bank, to cover his share of a credit card bill. I deposited this check on 12/31/10 into my Wells Fargo checking account. Unfortunately, the check was returned to and created a negative balance on my Wells Fargo account. I actually found out about this through the other bank, not Wells Fargo.
