Purchased a 1.96 carat diamond from Helzburg Diamonds in 2008. We were advised it was a good diamond and ended up paying 9, 999.00 for the ring. In early 2011 due to some financial issues I decided to sell the diamond. It was taken to a jeweler for appraisal and was told that the diamond was worth less than half what we paid for it. While I understand that there is a mark-up on all diamond and precious metals, a 50% mark-up is plain and simply roberry.
