Despite having paid for disability benefits through my employer for 15 years, I have been cut off short-term benefits after 8 weeks for what they claim is insufficient medical documentation. Sun Life has made me jump through all kinds of loops to provide what they feel is adequate medical documentation, only to continually tell me it is not enough and they cannot grant further benefits, despite a disability preventing me from returning to my job.
