I went to H & R Block last night 3/26/09 to have my taxes done. There was a mistake on the tax return that could have easily caused me to be audited. The tax preparer, William Conklin couldn't find the page the mistake was on even when I kept saying page 2. I was charged over $300.00 for this service and I only made $15, 000 in 2008. The tax fees were not stated up front. Mr. Conklin said that the company never tells people the cost up front unless they ask.
