I signed a "contract" with RUE. Upon questioning the admissions rep that I could void the contract if this didn't work out, was told as long as you pay for the courses taken. For me that doesn't make any sense at all to go to Coleman College, etc. Why spend xxx of dollars if you can't transfer the credits over to a real school like SDSU, etc ? If you or anyone you know are thinking about signing up for one of these over-priced cosmetology schools such as Aveda, Regency, etc... Please be aware of cost and traiing. Community Colleges offer training just as good maybe better than these poser cosmetology schools such as Aveda where you are paying for a name. I went to LTI 2006-2007 with the promise of a career in the auto industry making a good salary at graduation as well as reasonable loans and state of the art training. Through the time I was there none of the training aids were ever in working condition. A good amount of instructors were not only uninterested in teaching but showed up to class drunk - or would just have us sign out and go home for full credit. I got accepted to AIA and was so excited. I did not do my homework until about a year in. By that I mean I did not research reviews and their success rating. We had our child in this nursery school for 1 year. The fees are exorbatent, the kids get fed very small portions. They claim to be a christian nursery school, but all they are worried about it increasing the funds into the school - of which there is nothing to show for all the money they collect. After three years of never being late on a payment, and having to cancel membership because of hardship, they demand even more money for not attending!!! My son has been sent a notice that he has a balance due after 10 years when this school took my parent loan when he dropped out of the school the first week of the semester. The school refuses to send his transcripts to the new school until this amount is paid which is $750. I had paid over $6000. in full and they should be paying me back for the balance of the money that my son did not use which is illegal. I have experienced shady practices used by the State National Training Service. I attended the seminar and believed that my chances of getting a higher grade on the test for a Federal or State job would be better if I signed up for the course.
