Don't support Lone Star Pet Lodge. They demanded a deposit up-front to make a reservation for boarding our dog. I made a reservation early one morning based on a recommendation from another kennel. Later that day we drove to the business to check it out. It was extremely noisy and the staff were non-responsive and apathetic. I had 4 small dogs to be groomed. She didn't bathe any of them but sprayed fragranced spray on them to pretend that she did. The nails were still dirty and one dog still had grass in her fur. I have a neighbor who has at least 2 dogs, these dogs are a continuous problem to neighbors because of Barking and howling. My landlord and there's has been told of this problem, this problem has also been mentioned to the dogs owners themselves. I was taking my dog to PetsMart PetHotel in East Hanover, NJ and my dog was vaccinated with Bortadella four months prior. During one of their many kennel cough outbreaks, with the vaccination four months prior, he got kennel cough. The staff did not tell me of the outbreak or warn me and there have been several outbreaks since. In 5/08 I purchased 4 Discus fish from Somethingsphishy. One was supposed to be a Siam Red Master. Instead it was a yellow fish. Keith never responded to my query as to getting the wrong fish. 2 of the 4 fish died shortly after arrival. I notified Somethingsphishy with no response. I posted a negative review which was immediately removed and my account closed. I have since purchased 4 more Discus from a legitimate breeder and all are doing well. Irish Hills Danes sold me what I thought was a show quality puppy. Thats what they said, that is what I paid for. Two days after I received the puppy I had her checked out by my vet and that was the first vet that told me there was a problem with her bite. I notified them and they assured me there was no problem. I then contacted there vet and they said there were some bite issues with some of the puppies but would not be specific. After my dog had received a bath at Vickie's, I noticed scabs all over her back. I called Vickie and asked her if she checked dogs for fleas, and she assured me she did. My dog was at home chewing a rawhide when we noticed that she started to choke on it. We opened her mouth and could see the rawhide but when we tried to get out we couldn't because it was lodged so tightly in. Our dog was having a hard time breathing. Asked to have owner made aware of this issue and requested my money back and membership cancelled.
