After our house was on fire we hired MIRS to restore our home and it wasn't rebuilt when Mr.Amundson promised. When we asked why our home was taking so long to be finished on time Mr.Amundson said it was the vendors faults. When we contacted a few of them they said they weren't paid so they weren't going to finish the job. Mr. Amundson was paid in full by our insurance company. When it was finally finished it was about three months later then promised. Many times whenwe tried to get hold of him he wouldn't answer or return our calls. Selected an engineered hardwood floor from Shaw flooring. The installed product did not even come close to the sample board used to make the selection. Shaw would not send anyone out to review the installed product versus the sample. We had to send the sample board to them and they denied the claim. I have had Mels Pool Service for about 2 years and ran into a recent situation where my was not cleaned for 3 weeks. I have an agreement that they perform a weekly full service for chemical and cleaning service on my pool. I called Mels pool service and spoke with Mels wife, Terri. When leaving, they drove over 2 expensive landscape bushes. 2 months of trying to communicate with UDC along with the submission of a replacement cost estimate, have not provided any meaningful response or resolution. They cleaned the drains in my home on October 2010. Charged 580.75. Then added an extra $29, and $15 to my credit card. I sorted that part out, but now I found out that they charged my credit card on January 17th 2011 for a further $595.75. They don't answer their phone. This is the the most unethical company I have ever worked with in forty years of home ownership! From day one it was problem after probem...starting with the salesman not knowing how to corrrectly measure the window openings. Arman, a middle Eastern guy came to my house to install a gas stove. After the guy was finished, I smell gas, but he said that the stove is new and the smell will go away. Power Home Remodeling Group is a very unethical company that doesn't truly know what exactly they are doing when it comes to their craft. I recently reached out to them for an estimate on a siding job on my home. It turns out that the exterior walls of my home were actually drywall rather than wood boards. ELK is very good at marketing and responds very quickly and efficiently to new potential clients, but when it comes to delivery, they are shocking! Over a period of two and a half months they have made numerous appointments to come take final meassurements and then never pitch up (after you have moved your appointments to accomodate them). I purcashed an engineered floor in May 2010 and by October 2010 the finish was coming off anf the supposed knots in the wood were nothing more that some putty/plastic material that came up off the floor. I purchased a Kenmore Elite Calypso Washer from Sears in 2002. Within one year it had the mother Board replaced for more than $1000 but luckily it was under warranty. I have never been happy with the performance of this washer. Clothes are dripping with water and full of lint. It has broken down couple of times and I have had it fixed . It is broken again and I just found out that there was a Class Action Law Suit for this model settled in 2009 and I was not even aware of it because Sears did not deem it necessary to inform me. I bought a Stanley bedroom set from their American Modern Collection in 2010 and am appalled at the quality we received. We custom ordered it from International Home Furnishings and saw the set in a store before purchasing. When the furniture was delivered to our home it was all dented and dinged up.
