We had a contract with First Choice Moving & Storage in Encinitas, CA. for $1265 to move a 1 bedroom apartment from Pacific Beach, CA to Radford, VA. First Choice gave our shipment to Pegasus Van Lines. In between the time she hired them and the actual move she had a surgery that went terribly awry, and almost died. I hired ASAP Relocations Inc. to relocate my home and office materials from San Francisco to Seattle in May 2008. We agreed on a delivery date of June 1, 2008 and they never showed up. I have an international calling plan with PowerNet Global, and I frequently make calls to my wife who lives in Occupied Palestine. The price per minute was 5.4 cents, and suddenly without notice, the price skyrocketed to 26.4 cents per minute!!! That is nearly a 500% increase!!! I received a phone call to confirm an online order with a mastercard. I was given a phone number to call to verify that I placed no such order. The lady said she had no record of the order placed. I then called the original number back and got an automated response saying that by calling them i was confirming the order.
