While staying at the Royal Villa as the guest of an owner, we agreed (after several attempts to say no) to attend a 90 minute sales presentation. My wife bought a vacation voucher for $300 from this company probably 2 years ago and they have never came through with producing the voucher or reimbursing her money. Owners wont return phone calls and being ignored, sure there are hundreds if not thousands of people who got scammed and now they are operating a company called Platinum One Destination. After completing a complete search, over several weeks, I finally opted for the Radisson BLU (Dubai Marina) UAE, as my base, for my impending business trip. I had a ticket from St. Louis to Seattle (with connecting in Milwaukee) AirTran Airways Flight 515 on July 25 2009, with flight insurance purchased. We have stayed at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya from 15 to 29 July 2009. We paid more than 12 000 euro's for the package which includes the air fares from the Nehterlands to Cancun. We have 3 daughters aged 18, 15 and 13 and therefore we booked two roos next to each other. Our eldest daughter has epilepsy so we needed to check on her on a regular basis. Four monthes ago I bought two air tickets in EgyptAir site (from Athens to Cairo). Unfortunately I was forbidden to check in because I had no longer the credit card used (note that at boarding time 20th May, the credit card bill was already paid), then I bought other tickets for me and my wife. I was shown a model, and told the unit I was buying would be exactly the same. When we got there it was not near as big or as nice. It had asmaller guest bedroom, no granite tops, no plasma televisions, it was probably in the most undesireable area of the complex. I got nowhere talking with anyone in customer relations. In April 2008 we purchased an upgraded timeshare in Mexico. Part of the transaction included trading in as equity a timeshare based in Carlsbad, CA. We were put in touch with Holiday Transfer Services who was to make the transfer of ownership. We were told we had 30 days for this to occur so please get the necessary documents to Holiday Transfer as quickly as possible. My certificates were for 25 destinations, St. Thomas being the most desirable. 7 of the destinations in CA and 2 nearby in Tahoe and Reno for easy weekend getaways for us CA residents. This company won't even want to hire locals who really need work, instead they hire foreigners from China, Taiwan and South America to work in jobs such as Housekeeping and Janitorial. These "college students" come to work under a contract of 35 hours or more for 7 dollars an hour. When I booked my cruise, RCCL customer service department failed to tell me that if the cruise you book drops in price $$$-you can call before you sail and get the difference refunded. I found this out after I sailed and returned home. I called them and they said yes its true, but now that you have sailed we can't refund your money.
