My wife an I booked the PTP to handle our wedding because it sits in a beautiful location. I fell for the scam like everyone else. I was offered a $1000 shopping spree and this trial internet things and diet pills, and today I just found out that $149.50 was taken from my account. I'm 23 and a College Student, and my rent is due in a couple weeks, and what little money i had in my account-United Services wiped it free. I never said that they could take $149 from my account, and I don't appreciate them doing that. Not only that, my bank has now charged me an overdraft charge. In late July 2007, we flew on British Airways from Heathrow to Oslo. Our baggage did not arrive with us and one bag (with our clothing) arrived back in the States only after our trip had ended. The BA baggage handler at the Oslo airport (serviair) would not answer phones and there was no way to leave a message. As has been noted by others, Holiday Inn's reservation policy is not friendly to business travelers. Despite attempting to cancel my reservation well in advance they refused to let me do so. Not only that but the customer service person was rude. Eventually a manager promised I could move my reservation to a later time with the hope that another employee of my company could use it. Because of Hurricane Dean I was forced to end my vacation in Grand Cayman prematurely. I couldn't get a flight on my airline (American Airlines), so I got a seat on Cayman Airways. I was charged $650 for this flight. When I got home I looked on the internet for the 'normal ' prices for Cayman Airways for a flight from Grand Cayman to Miami. The posted price was $232 for a one way flight. Cayman Airways took advantage of me and many other people during a crisis. This is price gouging. I went on a group tour with Go Ahead Tours. We were already in Europe and booked a 5 day Paris excursion. Based on the expensive rate we paid, our expectations were for deluxe accommodations. My house keeper recently made a reservation over the phone for a flight to Guatemala through Sprit Airline. She arrived on the 31st of July three hours prior to her flight to be told that the flight had departed the day before even though her travel itinerary clearly stated departure for July 31st. I was recently traveling by Kingfisher Airline to Bangalore as I was really surprised as to how snobbish their crew was. It took me four attempts to ask the crew for a glass of water, the crew were not at all busy and I could see them chit chatting away to glory in the rear of the aircraft, after much fuss, I was given a glass of water as if I was given some alms. When I asked for a feedback form, I was denied for that as well. Travel Guard insurance was included with a travel package I purchased. My flight was delayed causing me to miss a foreign connection until the next day. I filed for compensation with Travel Guard on return from my trip. Three months later I got a call saying my claim was invalid because the airline was at fault. They said that I could write a letter and include receipts and I may still have a claim. I already had to get documentation from several places including the airline and didn't feel that I needed to jump thru more hoops. I think that this is their plan to wear you down and give up.
