Feels like I live in the Bermuda triangle. Neighbors 1 1/2 block on either side of me can get DSL and for two years the company has told me they would have it where I could get it by spring of the year. Still no internet. Well, I guess every situation is different. I just got my renewal for my auto insurance. Guess what, It went up $50.00. Ihaven't had a claim of any kind for over 10 years. I special ordered a black brick on 4/27/06 both in the traditional square and bullnose. I arrived to pick up on Saturday 5/13/2006. I paid and loaded one pallet and took to the job site. This man was to send me 3 "processed cords" of wood and the price was $465.00. When the driver arrived, he was having trouble getting it out of the dump truck, (was frozen or something), and I had to leave to drive my son to work. I went to a breeders site which is NOW called BulldogsRUs. I asked if they sold mini english bulldogs. We have heard about this type of breed they are smaller than the regular english bulldogs which are 50-60lbs male and 40-50lbs for female give or take a little. I purchased my brand new 2006 V8 Toureg on 11/20/06. 4 Days after the check engine lite went on for the first time. Since then it has been at the dealer 5 times and so far 18 days in the 2 months I have had it. It is still there they say for at least 10 more days. I purchased a $900.00 set of gas (propane) logs from Ener-G-Tech in mid- November. I needed the logs and a propane tank installed. I asked the salesperson (you must be waited on by a salesperson, this business is not self-service)if they install. He informed me they had a list of plumbers they recommend. They advertise FREE trial pills, only shipping charges, but they charge the credit card $145 + shipping. If payment is refused, they turn it over to a collection agency, who will try to collect over $200. If they cannot collect, they report to credit agencies for seven years! Capital EX Northlands 2006 held a 10 day gift show called Northwest Originals in the Sportex. Cost was just under $1000 to enter and was a nightmare throughout. I got an email at work for free ring-tones; I signed up to get them but never. What I did get in the interim was an annoying joke of the day; then sometimes two or more would come in on a day. I have been unsuccessful in getting this stopped. How do you get from free rig tones (which never were provided) to sending unwanted test jokes that only serve to increase my phone bill. I suggest no one ever use this bank. They hold checks from 4-10 business days; if you have any charges go through before they decide to "clear" the deposit, they pay the charges but charge you $32 return fee. The charges would hit my account after the money was available, but would move the debit card charges up to a week previous... needless to say, after 5 years of this, we switched banks. I requested a free sample of Actipril (on-line I think). Three days after I received the sample, I received a full size supply of the product. Since then, I have received full size supplies each month for three months more. There is no information on the product on paperwork on how to cancel the mailing of product or the draw on my account. A charge showed up on our Verizon telephone bill for $7.14 as a directory assistance call placed on 12/20/06 to 101-515-8000. This call was never placed and in fact there are several complaints on the internet about this scam company. I will be calling Verizon tomorrow. I purchased furniture from Wendy on Craigslist. She claimed the dining set was *NEW* and assured me that it was in excellent condition. For the second year in a row I bought Norton Internet Security and sent in the two rebates, both for $30. I received one rebate with no problem but as the year before received a post card stating that I had not sent all the information and was late in submitting. Knowing I meticulously followed detail in submitting the rebate, I wrote and asked them to send a copy of my envelope with mailing date and its contents. Of course I never heard from them again and feel that two times is a sure indication that (1) we are being scammed and (2) not to use them again. I went to Chilis in North Brunswick, NJ tonight for the first time and I was served my drinks with bugs, not once but TWICE. The manager came over to our table and apologized. Then for some reason he (Mat) explained why or how there might have been drinks in our bugs...as if that was relevant to us as the customer.
