In January of 2010 the maintenance fee for 2010 was paid to Solmar. I then called RCI and deposited this week with them in order to use this week to trade for a week at some other resort. I contacted this company to repair a non working tiolet in my home. The phone person was very nice and seemed professional. A date and time was arranged and the plumber was sent out. He came and left without repairing the tiolet. I contaced the company and was told someone would be sent out no charge to fix the probelm at hand. However, it took them over a month to provide me with a class schedule and once I showed up I was horrified to find that the classes do not run! Consumer Beware! This protection plan apparently does not cover damages incurred while replacing a leaking water heater. In short, sub contractors sent to fix a pressure problem days after the burst heater was replaced, damaged first the water heater then my home pipes. "Welcome to the Club" is what this title should be. I too found out the hard way how this outfit operates. I got suckered into the "Trial" as well, only to find that the trial period starts when you place the order but the product doesn't show up until 3-4 weeks later. I bought a used Landrover L6 in 2007, very low kilometers and loved it. The warranty ran out in January 2010 and then in February, I was driving on the highway with my son and the car quit. It was minus 15 degrees out and we were stranded on the highway. It was very scary. I had the vehicle towed and was told it was the differential and it would be $4000 to fix it. My sunroom was installed in the latter part of 2004 but the roof has leaked continuously ever since. I had Ultra's local dealer send his installer to repair this problem in 2005 at which time he re-caulked the roof. I had to call again in 2006 and again in 2008 (after I contacted Ultra to intercede for me) and again a month ago in 2010 (6 inches of rain in just one pail). I purchased a brand new Maytag front loader washer in July 2010. In October the machine broke and the part has a backorder or 164 for Canada alone and is not expected until mid December. Sears has a policy of replacing their appliances if the repair is not done in 30 days. I have spent 1 week, 1 hour every morning, getting the same answer. I needed eye surgery done with Bochner Eye Institute and Bochner offered me that if I go with the Medicard finance program they would let me pay the total amount cost within 12 month period without any interest added to it.
