Iam staying in indonesia past three years, I used to bring some groceries from my mothers house (Urad dal, raw rice, thoor dal, fried gram dal ) this year january 5, 2008 . I brought 5 kg ponni rice from chennai to jakarta for personal use . I was caught hold by the jakarta airport custom duties officer and they fined me Rp.100000 (Rs.500). In this case is there any suggestion, can i get any authorisation from the department of civi l supplies to bring groceries from India to Jakarta for personal use, I feel iam being cheated .. I am working in Thiruporur and going to evening college to Annauniversity, Guindy. The buses going towards annauniversity and T nagar has to travel all along Adayar which consumes more time. There is only one route ie 19 B, which is very much crowded during peak hours, especially from 17:00 Hrs to 19:00 Hrs. Most of the people who are in urge to reach their destination like annauniversity, saidapet, T nagar etc are suffering a lot during that time. We’ve ordered a container full of teak furniture from Jepara 50 in Indonesia. 65% of the furniture were not kiln dry properly or expose to rain and humidity afterwards. The furniture once received started to crack severely, split and break. Dear Sir, I have purchade a whirlpool refrigerator Ice Magic 220 Litre double door from Kanpur in Aug 2003. From day one the freezer panel started shrinking. I reported the matter to dealer and he replied that initially it shrinks a bit and after that it will stop. But the shrinking did not stop and now complete door is tilting.
