Appliance repair
DO NOT EVER USE A & E SERVICES FOR ANYTHING A & E is owned by Sears and everything is operated out of a national call center. They make appointments for their service techs and rely on them for their customer relations. My clothes dryer broke. A & T was called. Two days later their call center called and scheduled an appointment for THE FOLLOWING WEEK. The tech came out, said their was a bad switch and bad motor -- both of which had to be ordered. The tech said that since the dryer was old, he did not recommend that it be repaired. I have a home warranty with American Home Shield and they said no, and said to repair the dryer. I called A & E, and told them to repair the dryer. However, since the repair was not ordered when the tech was at my home, he would have to come back, THE FOLLOWING WEEK to verify the parts that would need to be ordered. The teck (the same one who came out the first time) came out, said these were the correct parts and called his office and order the parts which would be delivered to my home in 7 to 10 DAYS!! The parts arrived the following week, I called A & E and they scheduled another appointment for THE FOLLOWING WEEK. Well, NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT. When I contacted them, they said they came to my house and no one was home. Both my wife and I were home all morning, the door bell did not ring and the SNOW ON THE STEPS TO MY PORCH WAS N OT DISTURBED. They tell me they will have to reschedule FOR NEXT WEEK. Again, my advice, DO N OT EVER USE A & E Services for anything.
