Our microwave quit working. We called A&E appliance repair on the advice of Kitchen Aid, the manufacturer. They missed the first appointment, showed for the second and 'diagnosed' the problem. The part was ordered and arrived. They then didn't make the next 4 appointments, saying they were overbooked. For some reason, our repair continually went to the bottom of the pile. We told them they were fired, and not to come out. We're disputing their charge on our credit card and won't be paying them. We called a local authorized repair company who sent repair techs out. They diagnosed the problem as the magnetron, not the issue diagnosed by the A&E tech. The arrogant indifference of the A&E call center employees is exceeded only by the incompetence of their technicians. I'm writing Whirlpool corporation, the company who owns the Kitchen Aid brand to complain as well
